CyberSecurity is yet another in a long series of rogue antisypware programs.  Programs like CyberSecurity all share similar characteristics.  They mislead users into installing them, and then they attempt to hold those users hostage and demand a ransom in order to free their computer from the fake scanner program.  CyberSecurity is no exception.

How To Remove CyberSecurity

Removal of this program is as simple as downloading and running MalwareBytes Antispyware.  This program is free to use, although you should seriously consider purchasing the commerical grade version of the program which includes Active Protection that would probably have prevented you from becoming infected to begin with.


Steps to get rid of CyberSecurity
  1. Download MalwareBytes Antispyware
  2. Run Malware Bytes Installation.
  3. Click on the "Quick Scan" button.
  4. Allow the "Quick Scan" to run completely (may take up to an hour).
  5. Click on the "Show Results" button.
  6. Click on the "Remove Selected" button.
  7. Click on "Yes" if you are prompted to reboot your PC.
  8. You are now free of CyberSecurity for good.
  9. Consider purchasing a MalwareBytes license to protect your PC from future threats.
