BlockScanner is a rogue antispyware scanner.  It is not a legimate piece of software and should be removed from your PC as soon as possible.  BlockScanner manifests all of the hallmark attributes of a fake spyware scanner.  BlockScanner infects your PC using misleading tactics or as unwanted cargo bundled with some other software that seems legit.  Once installed, BlockScanner pretends to scan your PC and find a ton of problems.  BlockScanner then insists that you need to purchase a program in order to secure your PC.  This is all just an elaborate ruse to steal money from you.

The truth is that BlockScanner is junkware and you should not pay the publishers of BlockScanner a single cent because they do not have your interests in mind.

BlockScanner is easily removed using MalwareBytes antispyware scanner.  This is a free program, although you should consider upgrading the free version to take advantage of the Active Protection features.  These features would probably have prevented your computer from becoming infected with BlockScanner in the first place and would have saved you a lot of time and hassle in the process.  Active Protection would also have prevented your privacy and personal data from being compromised by BlockScanner, which is what basically has happened now that your machine has been compromised.  Think about it, and you will see that it is worth every penny to protect your machine.
